Your Story Needed on Video!

The system is not working and we need to fix it, but we need your stories to make a difference.

We Are the Uninsured is producing a video to capture peoples stories, that have been affected in their everyday life by either not having health insurance or being under-insured. Scott Ernst, an uninsured member of We Are the Uninsured, has volunteered to produce a video story bank. Scott can be reached via email at scotte@nls.net, or by calling

The purpose of this video is two-fold. One is to attract the attention of legislators and other policy makers about the seriousness of this problem.  The other goal is to make the general population aware of how widespread this problem is. Unfortunately it is one of those subjects that people tend to shrug off thinking it will not happen to them or it is only something that happens to other people.

By taking part in this video and telling us your story, you can make a difference in many people's lives which may include your own.

Voting is the most basic means by which we each have a voice in how OUR government works

By voting, you participate in a process that determines who will represent you, your family, and your neighbors in your community.

After we vote for elected leaders, they represent us, and it is our job to raise our voices and educate them on issues that are important to EVERYONE.

We Are the Uninsured members have registered 2,847 people to vote as of today's date! Our goal is to register 2,500 new voters.

We Are the Uninsured is in collaboration with Northeast Ohio Budget Legislative Equality an advocacy group (formally known as Advocates for Legislation Equality)which meets every 3rd Wednesday of each month at 5:30.
