After working several years in the corporate world with health insurance I decided to go out on my own and start a home restoration business. I did have in my plan to obtain health insurance after a few months when my cash flow was better to help pay for individual insurance. I never made it those few months and ended up with an inguinal hernia. I had to cut back on work and a couple of years ago, I had to stop working altogether. I went to the emergency room to see if I could get help there. They will not operate unless you have a condition that is life threatening (like you are going to die now). This injury has put me out on the street and I see no way of fixing this so I can get back to work. I have a daughter who has been accepted into a graduate program which I wish I could help her pay for. I don't know what to do for her either. It not only effects my life but my daughters and the lives of the people I had working for me.
